Privacy notice (beta)
Last updated: October 31, 2026. This notice describes the current starter application's code. The website operator must review and update it before a public launch.
What the app processes
You do not create an account. To match visitors, the live server processes temporary random session IDs and connection status. Text messages travel through the match server to your current chat partner but are not saved as chat transcripts by this starter application. Messages are shown in your browser for the current session.
When someone uses Report, the application stores the selected reason, time, and temporary session IDs in its server database. Report metadata is not automatically deleted in this starter; the operator should establish a retention/deletion policy before launch.
Voice chat
When you select voice chat and allow microphone access, your browser sends audio using WebRTC. This prototype attempts a direct peer-to-peer connection using public STUN services. WebRTC connections can expose network-address information to the other peer. Some network configurations require an additional TURN relay; this version does not have one configured. The app itself does not store voice recordings.
Infrastructure and safety
The site is intended to run on Cloudflare infrastructure. The infrastructure provider may process connection metadata under its own policies. Users should not assume total anonymity, guaranteed encryption against all parties, or active human moderation. Avoid sharing sensitive information.
Changes and contact
Before public deployment, the operator should add contact details and document appropriate security, legal compliance, retention, and reporting procedures for the intended jurisdictions.
